Led By Women, Fueled by Action

Educate. Experience.

Investing in Women (IIW) is a community-driven initiative focused on elevating women’s leadership in capital, investing, and decision-making. We bring together investors, founders, advisors, and changemakers committed to shifting the flow of capital toward women—because who controls capital, matters.

Women face a lifetime earnings gap that can total over $1 million. Women founders receive less than 3% of venture capital.
Only 2% of charitable giving supports women and girls.

Investing in women changes more than portfolios—
it changes outcomes.

What We Do

How We Help

Invest in Closing the Wage Gap

Women, particularly women of color and mothers, continue to face persistent pay inequities that compound over time—costing up to $1 million over a lifetime career. The motherhood penalty decreases a woman’s income by 4% per child, while fathers’ wages rise. IIW supports data-driven solutions that close this gap: inclusive hiring, equitable pay structures, and advocacy for workplace policies that reflect the real dynamics of caregiving. Because equal pay isn’t just fair—it fuels economic growth.

Invest in Women-Owned Businesses

Women are starting businesses at record rates—yet receive less than 3% of venture capital funding. Through gender-lens investing and intentional capital allocation, we aim to change that. IIW amplifies the visibility of women-led funds, connects investors with women-run ventures, and fosters a pipeline of support for women founders. We don’t just believe in women entrepreneurs—we invest in them, because their success drives local economies, innovation, and inclusive wealth building.

Invest in Nonprofits Serving Women

Only 1.9% of U.S. philanthropic giving goes to nonprofits that focus on women and girls. IIW challenges that reality by elevating organizations that lead on issues like reproductive rights, gender-based violence, maternal health, leadership training, and crisis relief. We advocate for giving that centers equity and human dignity—and we believe nonprofits serving women aren’t just “women’s causes,” they are cornerstones of a just and thriving society.
